Want to Fundraise?
Why support The James Fund?
- Brand and credibility: The James Fund was the first to create this model of fast-track fundraising; now it is emulated around the world and The James Fund is recognized as funding some of the most important research into neuroblastoma ever.
- Accountability of dollars spent: We are families desperate to save kids fighting neuroblastoma and working for a day when no child, maybe one you love, is diagnosed with his horrible disease. We are accountable to our donors and put as much money to research as we can.
- Knowledge and experience: We don’t just talk the talk, we walk the walk. We understand every aspect of the disease, including its impact on families and the community. We help match families facing a new diagnosis with others who can help.
- Leverage of donor dollars through matching funding: A donation to The James Fund is leveraged through other funding sources, so one donation can actually go twice as far.
- Connection to researchers: we work closely with our researchers, helping them see past the test tubes and equipment to the kids and families whose lives have been turned upside down by this disease.
- Help with events, tax receipting, information about research, some online tools: Lots of people want to help but are afraid of getting bogged down with administrivia. We do what we can to make it easy, helping you help us by providing some plug and play events for you to participate in and by handling things like receipting for you. We also provide you with information you need to enlist others to the cause.
- Connection with other families: James Fund events are great ways to connect with other neuroblastoma families who can give you invaluable support and advice when you need it.
- PR support: we have spent ten years engaging the world in the stories of kids battling neuroblastoma and related forms of childhood cancer. We can walk you through what you need to do to do the same, and we can provide you with powerful messaging.
- Advocacy: we have, personally, convinced the Canadian government to partner with us. We have lobbied provincial government to increase funding to childhood cancer research. We have flown around North America talking to researchers and neuroblastoma families, and facilitating innovative partnerships.
- We have momentum. Come be part of something that has achieved so much, including world-wide recognition. We’d love to work with you.
