Sebastian’s Superheroes
London, ON
Sebastian’s Superheroes began in London, ON, when Sebastian’s family became desperate for a cure for his battle with neuroblastoma. Since the family had never heard of the disease prior to his diagnosis on his 5th birthday in 2009, it became the family’s mission to create awareness for this terrible disease that is affecting so many young children and their families.
Unfortunately, Sebastian’s fight against this terrible disease ended in May of 2011 and we lost another beautiful child to cancer.
Today, Sebastian’s Superheroes is comprised of a group of family members and friends who have been touched by this brave warrior’s courage and strength. They donate their time and efforts in hopes that one day we will find a cure so that children no longer have to battle a disease that has already taken the lives of many brave, young warriors.
All proceeds raised by Sebastian’s Superheroes are donated to The James Fund for Neuroblastoma Research. To date they have raised over $110,000.
We are very proud to announce the James Fund/Sebastian Oliveira Drug Discovery Project. This project is testing a series of new treatments developed by James Fund researchers in the hopes of bringing them to clinical trials soon.
